Student Scholarship Program

Program

This program is for undergraduate college students of Iranian descent. The program will pay the qualified students’ choice of a nationally accredited college or university $500 per semester, and up to $1,000 per year, on behalf of the student registered in full time study program at that institution. The amount and continuation of the scholarship program will be determined by the board of directors of I.A.C.C. for each academic year.

Student Eligibility

Each applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for the program:

· College or university students who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at a nationally accredited two or four year college or university.

· Must be a resident of Florida.

· Have a minimum of 3.5 out of 4.0 weighted GPA.

· Be of Iranian descent (at least one Iranian born parent).

Awards

Up to $1,000 per year (maximum of $500 per semester, or $333 per quarter) will be awarded to qualified applicants.

Students who are awarded the scholarship must maintain all set requirements to qualify for the continuation of the year.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study leading to a major at a nationally accredited college or university of the student’s choice.

Scholarship payments will be mailed to each recipient's home address in August and are made payable to the school for the student.
